The Saguenay River
is a major waterway of Québec and one of Canada's most scenic
rivers. Its rushing tidewaters flow upriver as far as Saguenay. From
Lac Saint-Jean in the Laurentian Highlands, it runs east to the city
of Saguenay and drains into the Saint Lawrence River at Tadoussac.
Beluga
Whales Beluga whales breed in the cold waters at the
mouth of the Saguenay, and it's a popular attraction to take a whale
watching boat out to see the majestic mammals at play.
