| Located in
Newfoundland's Bay of Islands, the town of Corner Brook is a
wonderful island filled with magnificent fjords, thick forests and
jagged headlands. It's a picturesque place to relax and enjoy the
views or explore the numerous groomed walking trails.
This National Historic Site displays copies
of the charts mapped by Captain Cook and offers a breathtaking view
of the Bay of Islands.
Built in 1926, this museum once served as the
post office, customs, telegraph office and courtroom - all in one.
Now it exhibits the social, cultural and natural history of Corner
Brook.
Exhibits show live and preserved insects from
Newfoundland and around the world. See live tarantulas, scorpions
and other insects.
