| Best Of Bonaire Island Tour Enjoy a guided driving tour of Bonaire taking in many of the island’s highlights. Board your transportation and begin the tour in the capital, Kralendijk. Pass by many historical building and landmarks such as the Government House and the old fort. Continuing south, a stop will be made at the salt company to see the mounds of salt that from a distance appear to be white mountains. The next stop is at the stone Slave Huts (circa 1850) that served as shelters for the slaves working the saltpans. The saltpans in this area also serve as home to the pink flamingos that Bonaire is known for. The rustic northern coastline features dramatic scenery including 1,000 Steps, Devil’s Mouth and Gotto Lake where a stop is made to view the shy flamingos feeding. The next stop is the village of Rincon that was built by Spanish explorers and is the first settlement on Bonaire as well as the oldest settlement of the Netherlands Antilles, (circa 16th century). Taxi To Klein Bonaire (Beach) Relax on No Name Beach, one of Bonaire’s best beaches, located on the uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire. Board the Kantika di Amor water taxi for the approximately 30-minute transfer to the unspoiled island of Klein Bonaire. Upon arrival, a brief orientation will be provided. There will be ample time to swim, sunbathe, beach comb or snorkel along this pristine shoreline and beach. A complimentary beverage is included and water is available throughout your stay. Sail & Snorkel Snorkel and explore one of the premier snorkel sites in the Bonaire Marine Park on this boat excursion. Walk a short distance to your transportation, a 37-foot trimaran sailboat. Enjoy a motor/sail to the snorkel site during which the snorkel equipment will be provided. Upon arrival at the famous snorkel site named Andrea, a lesson will be provided. Next, don your equipment and practice your new scuba skills in shallow water off a beach. Then follow the instructor on a tour of one of Bonaire’s beautiful and pristine coral reefs. Certified Dive Explore the world famous pristine coral reefs of the Bonaire Marine Park on this two-tank certified boat dive. Board your transportation for a brief transfer to the dive shop. Upon arrival, complete the paperwork and participate in the required 15-minute Bonaire Marine Park orientation. Next, receive your equipment and then after a buoyancy check board the dive boat for the first of two dives. Bonaire has without a doubt some of the best reefs and fish populations in the Caribbean. After a surface interval, enjoy your second dive in this underwater paradise. Upon completion of the dives, go back to the dive shop to return the equipment before being transferred back to the ship. SPECIAL NOTES Certified divers must present their Open Water certification card to participate and must have dived in the last two years. There is a $25.00 USD cash payment for the Bonaire Marine park user fee that must be paid in cash to the dive shop. Please bring the money with you on the tour.
